After living in major cities across the country, such as Austin and Philadelphia, I decided to hone my craft at the Savannah College of Art and Design. My community in Savannah has helped me acquire a wide array of talents and tools while also narrowing my focus in the field of fine art. My interest in art and humanity led me to explore several different subject matters but the idea of photography was one that never faltered. Clicking the shutter of a camera is something anyone can do; my interests lie in the quality of the composition and how a single image can be elevated using methods such as historic printing processes. Our fast speed world is flooded with digital imagery that only captures our attention for a brief second, I am drawn to the permanence of prints and the attention they demand. There is a deep beauty in taking a moment to slow down and appreciate the time one took to create a piece, regardless of the medium. Photography as a creative expression is one that I not only have a passion and talent for but am endlessly curious about. My goal is to capture my surroundings with fresh vision and create moments that suspend reality and evoke emotion for those experiencing my work.
